Chandler Mack Signs With Freed-Hardeman

Today was a big day for Madison Academy forward, Chandler Mack, who signed to play basketball for the Freed-Hardeman University Lions. The 6'7" forward/guard was awarded a scholarship valued at just under $100,000.
"People began to really notice Chan in the Regional Playoffs against West Morgan," said Mustang Head Coach Andy Blackston. "He was a huge part of our challenge for a State Championship." The Mustangs fell one game short of reaching their goal. FHU Coach Jason Shelton said that Chandler's humble spirit and dedication to giving his best make him a great fit for their program.
BRAC brought Chandler's family to Huntsville last summer. Brenda, his mother, came early to investigate area schools before deciding to uproot her son as he anticipated his Senior year. When her host family learned that Chandler was interested in basketball, they suggested three schools, one of which was Madison Academy. She told his teachers and fellow students at his signing, "I am so grateful to the Madison Academy family for the way you made Chandler fit in after our move. It has been a blessing."
