FCA Kicks Off Season With Prayer Breakfast!
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) kicked off their fall sport season this week. All area athletes were invited to come together and enjoy breakfast, prayer and fellowship with each other. Former Alabama
Tide football player, Siran Stacy, was the keynote speaker. Siran lost his family when
the car he was driving was struck by a drunk driver. He shared his story and
sincerely encouraged the kids to to be aware that the things we speak could be the
breath of life to someone else. He told the athletes how he often questioned the events of the day prior to the accident. He wondered if anyone could have said or
done anything in the life of the drunk driver to make him not want to take that
drink.
The following day, Friday, August 21st, we had our first Madison Academy FCA
Huddle of the year. Our athletes met on our campus at 7:30 am and participated
in a devotional led by Jordan Matthews. They will continue to meet twice a
month as they encourage each other with prayer and fellowship.
