DISCOVER® is used beginning in the 9th grade to expose young students to various careers and colleges/universities. It provides the guidance office with the necessary information to help students make important educational decisions.

It's researched based assessments of career relevant interests, abilities, and values enable students to begin their own career search.

It offers a complete up-to-date database of occupations, majors, schools, and various training institutions, financial aid/scholarships, and military options.

It enables students to prepare resumes, cover letters, job applications and interviewing skills.

• In the ninth grade, freshmen will complete three inventories and summarize their information by writing an essay.  Students will receive a grade (via the Guidance Office) that will go toward their 1st quarter English grade. See below.
